Tom Carlson collaborates with Jones & Jones senior leadership in developing and executing the firm’s marketing and business development.   He also manages external relations. 

Tom cut his eyeteeth as a community organizer in Chicago, where during the 1980’s he built a citywide network of community development organizations.  Since that time, he has been a catalyst in developing organizations and initiatives devoted to social change and environmental stewardship.   He has headed-up the marketing, communications or fund raising for organizations including People for Puget Sound and the Rural Development Institute (now Landesa).  Tom has also been a consultant for clients such as the Environmental Law and Policy Center of the Midwest and the MacArthur Foundation.  Tom first worked for Jones & Jones as Marketing and Public Relations Manager from 1997-1999.  He rejoined Jones & Jones in 2007 in his current position.

Tom has served on several boards, including most recently that of the Environmental Educators Association of Washington.  Tom has a BA in Philosophy and a Master of Divinity degree.
